The famous Praia da Redonda is in the Icapuí region of Ceará, and this place holds delicious surprises for us and has the advantage of being a destination that is still little explored by Brazilian (and foreign) tourists in the northeast! Icapuí is on the border of Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte and is part of the Rota das Falésias. Of course, the city of Icapuí itself does not have many tourist attractions, but it is Praia da Redonda and Praia da Peroba that are successful and there are good reasons for that. So, if you like dunes, canyons, beautiful beaches, stunning views, few people and tranquility, it's time to travel there! We stayed for 4 days in the Icapuí region and together with my family we spent New Year's Eve there! Everything was very peaceful, with a lot of human warmth and lots of lobster! Before discovering what to do in Icapuí and Praia da Redonda, let's discuss some basic questions before the trip.
Icapuí is practically the last region on the coast of Ceará before arriving in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, see the map below. And also note that on this map, I have already marked the main attractions of what to do in Icapuí, and that I will talk about them in detail below. HOW asia phone number list TO GET TO ICAPUÍ IN CEARÁ The easiest way to get to Icapuí is to find a reasonably priced plane ticket to Fortaleza and from there you rent a car and drive approximately 170km to the Icapuí region. Without a doubt, preferably for hotels and inns in Praia da Redonda or Praia de Peroba , but below I'll tell you the place we chose and other cool accommodation options in the region. There is also the option of taking a bus (much longer), as well as a taxi or transfer, but this will leave you a little hampered in getting to know some of the attractions. If you live nearby or, like me, have relatives in Fortaleza, this all becomes easier! But even in our case, we rented a car, as the first stop was in Canoa Quebrada and after Icapuí, we continued to visit São Miguel do Gostoso, in Rio Grande do Norte . BEST TIME TO VISIT PRAIA DA REDONDA In this region of Brazil, there is no winter or summer, but rather dry and rainy seasons! Therefore, the temperature in Icapuí is always mild, the wind is constant and the chance of meeting many tourists remains low.

The dry season usually happens in the second half of the year, from July to December! And the rainy season is in the first half of the year, especially between March and May. But like everywhere in the world, it is not possible to have an accurate forecast, the tips above on when to go to Icapuí are just a suggestion. But one thing is certain, getting cold will be almost impossible. However, it is very, very windy! And that helps a lot to refresh you. Praia da Redonda and Praia de Peroba are the main beaches in the region and are also the ones with the best infrastructure. My family and I spent 4 days in this paradise during New Year's Eve and we loved it!!! We chose the Pousada Casa Céu e Mar owned by the couple Isabel and Baiano, a former German journalist and a former football player from Bahia, who decided to give up everything and live in Praia da Redonda. The inn is lovely and Isabel takes care of everything with German precision, but without leaving aside Brazilian human warmth .
